Indore, Madhya Pradesh: A laboratory test in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore has confirmed a diarrhea outbreak, which has killed at least ten people while affecting over 20,00.

The test confirmed that the disease was driven by the contaminated drinking water, as it found substantiated that a life-threatening substance in the water supplied by the municipal pipeline.

Indore, Madhya Pradesh’s commercial capital, has been ranked as India’s cleanest city for the last eight years.

The laboratory report, which was prepared by a city-based medical college, pointed out that the drinking water was contaminated due to a leakage in a pipeline in the Bhagirathpura area, from where the outbreak has been reported, said Indore’s Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO), Dr Madhav Prasad Hasani.
