Pune: Training Aircraft Crashes Near Baramati Airport, Technical Snag Mid-Flight Blamed
Pune, Maharashtra: After developing a technical snag while flying at a low altitude, a training aircraft crashed near Baramati airport in Maharashtra’s Pune district on Wednesday, May 13. The flight made the crash landing near Gojubavi village adjacent to the Baramati airport at around 8:50 am.
The aircraft belonged to Red Bird Aviation, according to Pune Rural Police. The sole trainee pilot on board escaped without serious injuries.

A part of the aircraft reportedly hit a light pole before crashing onto the ground during the crash landing. However, the sole trainee pilot did not suffer any serious injuries.

Pune Rural SP Sandeep Singh Gill said that the police personnel immediately rushed to the spot upon receiving information about the incident. An inquiry and further action are underway, the SP said, noting that more details will be shared after the probe.
