Congress' Shyamkumar Barve Wins From Ramtek Lok Sabha Constituency

Shyamkumar Barve, Congress candidate from Ramtek Constituency won the election by garnering 613,025 votes. He defeated Shiv Sena candidate Rajnith Parwe with a margin of 76,768 votes.

Rajnath Parwe, Shiv Sena candidate from the constituency is the member of the legislative assembly elected from the Umred assembly. He joined the party in 2015. In the 2019, in Congress ticket he won the Umred Vidhan Sabha seat. After being denied of the ticket by Congress to contest from Ramtek, he joined Shiv sena.

Congress has fielded Shyamkumar Barve as its candidate. Earlier his wife Rashmi Barve was given the ticket to contest the election. However, her candidacy was cancelled following her caste certificate validation.

Ramtak constituency is reserved for the scheduled caste. And historically the constituency was dominated by congress party until 2014 when shiv sena gained influence. The first Lok Sabha election was won by Congress Krishna Rao.

In the 2014 Lok Sabha election, Shiv Senas Krupal Balaji Tumane won with 519,892 votes. He defeated the Congress candidate Mukul Wasnik who received 344,101 votes.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha election, Shiv Sena Krupal Tumane won the seat with 594,827 votes. He defeated the Congress candidate Kishore Uttamrao Gajbhiye who has received 468,738 votes.

The trend shows that the Maha Vikas Agadhi has toppled the exit poll results and is leading in the state sweeping majority of the seats.
