Narendra Modi Sworn In As India’s Prime Minister For Third Time

Narendra Modi sworn in as the Prime Minister of India. This is the third tenure of NDA government. Modi marks history by becoming the Prime Minister for three consecutive terms. He is the second leader to do so after Jawaharlal Nehru. The decision of the new cabinet was reached after a 11 hour long meeting at the Prime Minister’s residence.

The Rashtrapati Bhavan was deployed with three-layered security. The oath taking ceremony took place at the office by President Droupadi Murmu. Reportedly, the commandos from Delhi Police’s SWAT and NSG have been deployed around the venue and other strategic locations as Delhi remains on high alert for the event.
