
Iran Confirms Ceasefire After Strikes In Beersheba: Reports (image:x.com/dwhitewasher)
Early Tuesday, Iranian state-run media claimed that the country had agreed to a ceasefire with Israel. Following several waves of attacks on Israeli territory before the 4 am ceasefire deadline, Iran confirmed the peace deal.
This move came hours after US President Donald Trump said both countries had agreed to a “complete and total ceasefire,” adding that the 24-hour phased-in ceasefire would begin at midnight Tuesday eastern time, putting an “Official END to THE 12 DAY WAR.”

However, the Israeli government has not made any official comment in this regard but said Iranian missile strikes continued and at least three people were killed and several more wounded in the southern city of Beersheba.
Despite Trump’s announcement on ceasefire, neither Israel nor Iran has officially confirmed any ceasefire, and heavy Israeli strikes continued in Tehran and other cities early Tuesday. However, a social media post by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi at about 4:30 am, indicated the ceasefire had begun, stating the military fought until the “very last minute”.
