
"Manageable For Some, Challenging For Others": CBSE Class 12 Biology Exam Analysis
CBSE Class 12 Biology Exam Expert Analysis: According to the subject matter experts, the CBSE Class 12 Biology exam 2025, which was conducted on Tuesday from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, was challenging yet manageable. Students also have shared their reactions regarding the difficulty level and question pattern, suggesting mixed responses. Some found the exam manageable, while a few others faced challenges, according to Mrs. Anita Chandel, the Head Department (HOD) of Biology at Army Public School, Delhi Cantt and Dr. Neetu Kapoor, Principal of Army Public School.
The experts have shared their insights concerning the question paper and its difficulty level. Speaking to Timeline, Mrs. Anita Chandel said that the paper was well-structured, with a mix of direct questions that catered to average students, enabling them to score well.

Stating that the Biology exam elicited a mixed response from students, Chandel noted that those who thoroughly studied the NCERT text books were able to understand and attempt the questions.
“Some MCQs were competency-based, testing students’ analytical skills,” the HOD underscored, adding that the numerical questions on population density might have posed difficulties for below-average students.

According to Neetu Kapoor, the question paper included a good mix of case-based questions. However, the term “scaffold proteins” was not mentioned in the NCERT book, adding more challenge to the students, Kapoor highlighted. She further observed that while the paper was challenging, achieving a perfect score was still possible with an exceptional effort.
“Overall, the paper struck a balance, with a difficulty level suitable for above-average students,” the HOD opined, noting that the exam emphasised the importance of concept clarity and thorough studying.
