Prajwal Revanna’s Brother Arrested Over Alleged Sexual Abuse Case (image-facebook/Dr Suraj Revanna)
The Karnataka police have arrested Janata Dal (Secular) MLC Suraj Revanna, the brother of Prajwal Revanna, for allegedly sexually assaulting a male party worker. He was initially brought to the CEN police station in Hassan for interrogation and was later arrested.
The 27-year-old party worker has alleged that Suraj Revanna sexually assaulted him at his farmhouse in Ghannikada in Holenarasipura Taluk on June 16.

On Saturday morning, the Holenarasipura police registered an FIR against Suraj under Section 377 of the IPC. The victim in his complaint stated that he was an active member of the party and had met Suraj at Kollangi village during the last Lok Sabha poll campaigns.
Meanwhile, Suraj Revanna’s aide Shivakumar filed a complaint against the party worker, saying he and his relative had tried to extort Rs 5 crore from the JD(S) MLC. He then threatened to file a false case of sexual assault against the politicians if he didn’t meet their demands.
Shivakumar added that the man first approached him to find a job. He gave him Suraj Revanna’s number and asked him to contact Suraj. But he then started blackmailing Shivkumar after he failed to get the job, the complaint said.
Suraj’s arrest comes days after former JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna was sent to judicial custody. The cases of sexual abuse came to light after pen drives containing explicit videos allegedly involving Revanna were reportedly circulated in Hassan.
Following the cases filed against him, the JD(S) suspended him from the party. The BJP has distanced itself from Revanna and the investigation.

A police case has been filed against Revanna and his father, HD Revanna, for allegedly kidnapping a woman who said she had been raped by both men.
The 33-year-old had failed to retain the Hassan parliamentary constituency in the Lok Sabha polls as well.
