The Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate Sanjay Dina Patil won from the Mumbai- North central constituency by receiving 450, 937 votes.

Shiv Sena (UBT)'s Sanjay Dina Patil Wins From Mumbai North-East Lok Sabha Constituency

Sanjay Dina Patil, Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate won from the Mumbai North-East constituency by receiving 450,937 votes. He won by the margin of 298,61 votes.

BJP candidate Mihir Chandrakant Kotech is a businessman from Mumbai. He is serving as the member of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from Mulund since 2019. He has earlier served as the vice president of BJP Mumbai and Youth Wing President.

Sanjay Dina Patil is fielded as the Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate from the constituency. He was earlier elected to state assembly in 2004 from Bhandup and in 2009 from Mumbai North East constituency as NCP candidate. Later in 2019, he joined Shiv Sena.

The constituency has over 47 per cent Marathi population. Out of 16 lakh voters in the state, 7.6 lakh are Marathi, about 2.5 lakhs are Muslims and rest Gujarati, Marwari and Parsi.  From 1967 to 1980, the constituency saw representation by Congress MPs three times in a row. And two times the seat was won by Janata Party MPs.

In the 2014 election, Kriti Somaiya of the BJP won the seat with 525,285 votes. While Sanjay Patil of NCP came second by garnering 208,163 votes.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha election, Manoj Kishorbhai Kotak of the BJP emerged victorious by securing 514,599 votes. Sanjay Deena Patil of Nationalist Congress Party came second with 288,113 votes.

The trend shows that the Maha Vikas Agadhi has toppled the exit poll results and is leading in the state sweeping majority of the seats.
