Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: Union Minister Suresh Gopi’s son, Madhav Suresh, was taken into police custody on Thursday night soon after he got into an argument with a Congress leader, Vinod Krishna in the middle of a road. The incident occurred at Sasthamangalam junction in Thiruvananthapuram at around 11 pm.

When Madhav Suresh was driving from his home in Sasthamangalam to Vellayambalam, his vehicle allegedly came in direct contact with another vehicle driven by Congress leader Vinod Krishna, a Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) Leader.

When both vehicles came close, both came out and engaged in a quarrel. The argument drew a crowd, which led to a traffic jam at the junction, as the duo engaged in a heated verbal exchange for at least 15 minutes, as per a report by Mathrubhumi.

After Vinod Krishna informed the police, the official reached the spot. The Congress leader said he suspected that the BJP leader’s son was drunk, as he allegedly used abusive remarks, which caused the police to take him into custody, reported Manorama News. Police also asked Vinod to be present at the station.
